SILVANO D'ORBA, JULY 2025. Twenty years ago, in 2005, my father Alessandro and I set aside a grappa with extremely high organoleptic characteristics in terms of elegance, body, and structure, for aging. This grappa remained in a single, unique barrique, sealed by the Customs Office, for twenty years, and this year we decided to extract it, 155 years after the distillery's founding and 100 years after the birth of my grandmother, Susanna Gualco. I dedicate this bottle to her, a great grappaiola (grappa maker) and my unforgettable teacher. GIORGIO SOLDATINI, Owner of Distilleria Gualco in Silvano d’Orba.
