As every year, our annual festival, " La distilleria è aperta !( The Distillery is Open! )" is approaching!
The owners, Giorgio and Alessandro Soldatini, and all the staff of Distilleria Gualco invite you to two days of celebration, history, and tastings in the heart of our company.
When: Saturday, November 8th and Sunday, November 9th, 2025
Where: At our Headquarters: Distilleria Gualco in Via XX Settembre 9 in Silvano d’Orba (AL)
- We will celebrate with all of you the recognition as a Historical Brand of National Interest in our 155th year of history.
- It will be possible to taste the limited edition “Dedicata a Susanna” Grappa Riserva, aged 20 years in a single acacia barrique. We opened this cask because this year (2025) our grandmother Susanna would have turned 100.
- As always, you can watch the discontinuous distillation of our fresh and fragrant grape pomaces with our Piedmontese-style bain-marie pot still and visit our 18th-century cellar which houses the barriques where the grappa ages and where you can admire Alessandro Soldatini’s nativity scene collection.
- You can taste our grappas, our liqueurs, our vermouths, and the local wines from our pomace suppliers.
Everything will naturally be accompanied by gastronomic specialties available at our refreshment area.
- There will be the traditional prize game, which this year will be called "Ages, Woods, Scents" (to give you a hint...), which will test the participants' sense of smell.
- A small play area will be set up for the little ones. For lovers of herbs and spices, you can observe and smell the bases that make up our bitters and liqueurs. The Company Store, as on all other days of the year, will be open for any purchases, requests, and orders for the upcoming Christmas season.
Access & Reservations (Entry and tastings are free of charge)
SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 8TH: On Saturday, the guided tours with tasting will be small, in-depth 50-minute workshops with limited spaces and reservations will be necessary. The free tours will take place at the following times: 9 am, 10 am, 11 am, 3 pm, 4 pm, 5 pm BOOK YOUR VISIT
SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 9TH, 2025: Open doors at the distillery for the annual festival from 9:30 am to 12:30 pm and from 2:30 pm to 7:00 pm. Guided tours will take place every 40 minutes for anyone who wants to learn more about the world of grappa.
